Container Homes Nevada

ARE GOING TO BE MADE OUT OF THESE SHIPPI CONTAINERS. RIGHT NOW, THESE FIVE LOTS AT THE CORNER OF SOUTH SHEL STREET AND ASH STREET ARE EMPTY, BUT THIS IS WHAT THE DEVELOPERS ENVISION.

EIGHT TO NINE CONTAINER HOME 640 SQUARE FEET EACH, WITH ROOFTOP DECKS. gt;gt; THE PLAN ORIGINATED, WE ACTUALLY SAW A CONTAINER BAR IN AUSTIN, TEXAS. CHRISTINA RICK KUEBER BOUGHT THE LAND AND WANTS TO BE PART OF

GERMANTOWN’S FUTURE. FROM A DESIGN STANDPOINT, WE ARE ON THE CORNER, SO WE HAVE DIVIDEND OF BOTH STREETS. WE HAVE TO FIT INTO BOTH STREETS. CHRISTINA: IT WOULD BE A FIRST FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE

TAKING SHIPPING CONTAINERS AND TURNING THEM INTO HOME SWEET HOME. gt;gt; A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT TO PUT THEM IN THE TINY CATEGORY. I WOULD NOT SAY THEY ARE THAT SMALL, BUT IT IS CERTAINLY PART OF THE MINIMALIST MOVEMENT.

CHRISTINA: THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IS RIGHT BEHIND GERMANTOWN MILL LOFTS AND PART OF THE SCHNITZELBURG COMMUNITY. FOR EACH HOME, BUILDERS WOULD USE SHIPPING CONTAINERS THAT ARE EIGHT FEET BY 20 FEET AND PU THEM SIDE BY SIDE, AND THEN ADD

ON ANOTHER FLOOR. KUEBER AND ARCHITECT MARK FOXWORTH SAY THE PLAN WI ATTRACT MORE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS TO THE AREA. BUT IT ISN’T WITHOUT CHALLENGES, gt;gt; I THINK IT’S VERY SMALL.

Low Cost PVC Pipe Tomato Cage Gardening in Las Vegas Nevada

This is john kohler, with growingyourgreens today we have another exciting episode for ya. We are here in Las Vegas Nevada on yetanother field trip and we’re gonna check out a new farm that just started about 6 monthsago. And here’s their sign here. Home grown Nursery Produce. And here it is, here’sthe property, this is uhhh 3acre property and 2and half of which are dedicated to growingfood and stards and plants that you can buy. So hey let’s head over there and check itout. Here’s the entrance to the farm and you can see a home grown tomato plant.. thegate is open stop by, their currently open, basically 7 days a week, 9 to 4, 9 to 2 onthe weekends ummm lets go inside. I got a

tour a little bit earlier and actually theirvery friendly. They got a little sign here, give us a honk we will show you around. Souh definitely really cool. There is the super large greenhouse they have been growing infor about 6 months and they have a compose piles and piles of stuff and they’ve gota different areas in their back, where there are growing more food. And they got a wholebunch of plant starts? For sale. First let’s go ahead and show you guys the greenhouse.Let’s head in the greenhouse, and this is the greenhouse one. And uh they will probablyhave more in the future. Let’s see this thing is uhh ginormous its huge they got anice shade cloth on it now. This previously

had a plastic cover in winter when it wastoo cold. And that’s how they got some tomatoes uh plants that are even ripening up now. Thereare some of the tomatoes right there. Like green ones, they doing a stem method for thebottom, and then up at the top, they actually let them bush out. Uh to provide shade forthe tomatoes, uh this can be very smart here in the Las Vegas climate, cause it gets reallyhot and you know the sun can’t be your best friend but it could also be your worst enemy. And you could see there, they got some tomatoes even and ripened up. The other thing I wantto talk about today is actually that this uniqueTrellis system I’ve never had, I’ve never

seen this system like this before, but youknow what, I have this cam about was, that is like kay… you know we know stick ourtomatoes. What do we have here lying around. And they had a lot of extra pvc tubing orpvc pipes from the irrigation that they are putting in.So they just stuck one down in the ground as a stake and they got a few connectors uptop to connect em together. And uh connecting the whole system together makes this actuallyvery sturdy and stable. And uh that’s definitely that’s reallycool and they just connected pieces how they needed to, to make it happen. Now, and theseare the initial beds here they didn’t actually

space out the tomatoes quite optimally sosome of them are really close together but they still going to do fine. Another thingthat’s really cool about this pvc system is that say you wanna you know make it taller, you could put a coupler on here and then just keep going up further. That’s really cool. The other thing that’s actually really cool about this system is say you wanna water theplant roots you could just put the hose down in the pipeAnd water will direct right down into the plant root’s zone. So that’s definitelyreally smart idea. And umm glad that they are doing it here and I can share it withyou guys and now it’s an option for you

guys to use, if you guys wanna stake yourtomatoes at the pvc. Here in this greenhouse they have several different beds there arebeds running along the edges of the greenhouse and also in the middle and nice walkways there. And uh thiss one is growing some herbs, looks like they have some basal and they have thissectioned off, so maybe every section I don’t know every 1015 feet they have differentthings growing. So looks like in this area they got carrots, this area they got someamazing looking chard, its really good looking. Here’s some sugar snappies that are havinga lil bit of challenges I guess it got up into the 90s last week here in vegas. Overhere more tomatoes, over here are some rugala
